BAKING THE CAKE AT HOME SOMETIMES SEEMS A VERY SIMPLE JOB IN THE VIEW OF ONE WHO IS LOOKING AT IT. CAKE IS NOT JUST A DISH BUT A GESTURE, A FEELING OF A SWEET TREAT THAT IS ALWAYS A FILLER FOR YOUR LOVED ONES IN THOSE TIMES WHEN YOU GET HAPPY OR WHEN YOU FEEL LOW TO MAKE YOUR URGE SATISFY. FOR ME COOKING ANYTHING FROM THE CAKE OR TRADITIONAL FOOD IS JUST LIKE WRITING A STORY SO GUYS ALWAYS COOK YOUR FOOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART IN IT.

INGREDIENTS

MAIDA (WHITE FLOUR ) – 1 CUP (250 GRAM)POWDERED SUGAR – 3/4 CUP (175 ML)BAKING SODA – 1/4 TSPCOOKING OIL – 1/2 CUP (125 ML )BAKING POWDER – 1 +1/4 TSPCURD – 2 TBSPMILK POWDER – 2 TBSPWARM MILK – 1 CUP COCOA POWDER – 2 TBSP VANILLA ESSENCE – 1 TSP Now Lets Start

Preheat the Oven to 180 degrees for 10 minutes.

Take a big bowl and add Sugar and Oil. Start mixing it with a whisk. Keep doing this till the time the color of the mixture changes, it will take approximately 10 to 12 minutes to use a hand whisk but if you are using hand handheld batter beater it might take less time be 4 to 5 minutes. This step is creaming. 

After the mentioned time you will see the mixture will become slightly fluffy. 

Now Add Curd and mix it properly for half a minute.

Add Vanilla Essence and mix well using the whisk.

NOW 

Take a Sieve and put it over the bowl of the above sugar and oil mixture.

Put Flour on it, Baking Soda, Baking Powder, and Milk Powder and mix the dry ingredients as they mix well when they are dry. Now tap the strainer gently so that the dry ingredients gradually sift through it into the bowl.

Now take a Spatula and start mixing it so that no lumps are formed. Mix it for just 2 to 3 minutes. 

Take warm milk and start adding it to the above mixture pouring little at a time. Mix it adding more milk a little at a time and make a paste. The batter should be in flowing consistency. Do not over-mix it otherwise, your cake will not be soft.

Now divide the batter equally in 2 separate bowls. 

In one bowl Add Cocoa Powder mix it properly and make a flowing consistency chocolate batter.

In other bowls keep the batter as it is, just check if it is flowing consistently.

Take a cake tin and grease it with oil using a brush. Then Put a Parchment Paper used for baking. Cut the paper according to the base of your tin.

Pour the batter into the tin one by one using 2 separate serving spoons and start pouring 1 spoon of each batter in your baking tin… like white batter 1st then over that pour chocolate batter, then over the chocolate pour another spoon of white batter and keep doing this till the batter finishes.

Then take a toothpick and make a cross design or any design of your choice. The batter will take the shape of your design. Do not dig the toothpick into your batter, just make a design on the above part. 

Now Tap the tin thrice on a flat surface lightly so that the batter settles in the tin evenly. 

Put it in the oven on the third shelf for 20 minutes at 180 degrees temperature.

After 20 minutes just check the cake by putting a sharp knife straight into the cake and take it out. If you see the batter on the knife then it still needs 5 minutes more so keep it back for 5 minutes as it’s different with all the ovens.

Then before taking it out check again and if the knife comes out clean your cake is ready.

Take it out and let it cool for 5 minutes. Then roll the knife around the tin and by keeping a plate on the top, flip the tin upside down. Then again put a tray and flip it. The front side of the cake will come on the tray.
