OIL – 1+ 1/2 TBSP
OIL FOR FRYING OR YOU CAN USE AIR FRYER ALSO
SALT – TO TASTE
RED CHILLY POWDER – 1/4 TSP
CORIANDER POWDER (DHANIA POWDER) – 1/2 TSP
GARAM MASALA – 1/2 TSP (OPTIONAL)
DRIED MANGO POWDER (OPTIONAL) – 1/2 TSP
EGG – 1/4 OR CORNFLOUR 2 TBSP + 1 TBSP MAIDA (WHITE FLOUR)
BREAD CRUMBS – MADE OUT OF 2 SLICES OF BREAD
LET’S START MAKING THE CUTLETS
WASH CHEERA LEAVES PROPERLY TWICE IN A BIG BOWL.
MINCE AMARANTH (CHEERA) AND STEAM IT IN A PAN UNTIL WELL COOKED.
YOU CAN PRESSURE COOK IT FOR 1 WHISTLE WITH LITTLE WATER.
TAKE BOIL AND MASH WELL
TAKE A PAN, ADD
OIL AND AFTER 2 MINUTES ADD
MINCED ONION
GINGER
GREEN CHILIES MINCED.
WHEN ONION TURNS LIGHT GOLDEN BROWN, ADD COOKED CHEERA AND MIX WELL.
YOU CAN GRIND THE CHEERA LEAVES WITHOUT ANY WATER TO ADD IN THE ABOVE INGREDIENTS.
REMOVE FROM THE FIRE AND ADD BOILED MASHED POTATOES. ADD SALT ACCORDING TO YOUR TASTE, MIX WELL. ALSO PUT
1 TSP RED CHILLY POWDER
CORIANDER POWDER (DHANIA POWDER)
GARAM MASALA
DRIED MANGO POWDER (OPTIONAL)
AND MIX IT PROPERLY.
DIVIDE THE MIXTURE INTO 4 TO 5 EQUAL PARTS. SHAPE IT INTO A CUTLET.
DIP IT IN BEATEN EGG WITH A PINCH OF SALT IN IT AND COAT IT PROPERLY FROM BOTH SIDES,
NOTE – IF YOU ARE A VEGETARIAN YOU CAN MAKE A BATTER OF CORNFLOUR AND MAIDA (WHITE FLOUR) WITH A PINCH OF SALT IN IT FOR COATING.
NOW ROLL IT IN BREAD CRUMBS.
HEAT OIL IN PAN AND DEEP FRY UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN.
YOU CAN SHALLOW FRY IT IN A NONSTICK PAN (MAKE SMALL SIZE CUTLETS IF YOU WISH TO SHALLOW FRY IT)
